Re: Not Shots related. Merthyr Town FC

Great news that the appeal for the £5,000 to pay the tax bill has been met. Hope they can work things out at the emergency meeting tomorrow and they just don't have a temporary reprieve. What amazed me is as Merthyr Town are 100% owned by a supporters trust you'd think that them getting into the rep...

Re: Ex-Player and Manager News - October 26th onwards

Left back Cameron Pring made a very successful debut for Hereford yesterday playing the whole ninety minutes and getting one of the three 8 ratings awarded in the game according to the NL paper. The other 8 ratings where for two goal man of the match Tyrone Duffus & hat trick man Lance Smith. I ...

Re: Sign on wall

Could the 0 - 2 defeat for Craig Harrison's Hartlepool be the "writing on the wall" for a place famous for its monkey hanging?

Re: Hartlepool Predictions

I think the player we need to watch out for today is 5' 5'' Jack Munns it's his birthday today (24) and players like playing/scoring especially if it's their birthday also as an ex Shot - on a months loan but never played (under Dean Holdsworth) - he might have something to prove. Hopefully James Ro...

Bimbo no.1
Jim Reeves had a hit when his record ''BIMBO" went to No1. Can be watched on YouTube. (going back quite a bit in time but it might jog one or two memories).

Calamity back pass

After watching Tranmere's Jay McEveley's calamity back pass gifting Posh's Danny McGoldrick their first goal in the sixteenth minute it made me think of how lucky George Fowler was with three back passes last Saturday against Fylde when he was only saved by the quick actions of new keeper Lewis Ward...

The report on National League costs out today shows Shots and Hartlepool charging £2 for a cup of tea whilst at some of the other clubs in the league the cost is just a £1.

Re: one in by the week-end?

With Gary Owers squashing rumours that it is Torquay that are about to sign Ricky Lambert it leads to speculation as to who he will be signing for. At thirty five years of age would he be too old for Gary's young squad? Or is a shock announcement imminent.

Re: Daily Mail article

I was extremely disappointed and bemused as to how Daily Mail reporter Matt Barlow only rated our award winning programme four stars. There can be no question whatsoever that our programme is five star as every fan home or away without exception will attest to. Well done to Victoria for maintaining ...

Re: Manny's Tackle

Viewed from the North stand Many did play the ball. He's never has been the type of player who does tackles with red card intent. I am also of the view that ref 's if they have made a decision they are not 100% sure of they will consciously or sub consciously like to even things up. Gary should appe...

Great stuff Terry. Was this a reprise of your audition for Joe Maplins holiday camp in the early 1960s. (I recognise the jacket).
