Large and visible, just what is needed. I bet it didn't cost as much as an electronic one either, although the club probably didn't payfor it.

That was one of the highlights of my afternoons as a kid, waiting expectantly for the h/t scores to go up.

I used to bring a dramatic radio to games for latest scores till about 1987 when I was 16, I remember a copper saying to me "oi Young Man, come here", the tortoise head appeared thinking I was in trouble then he said , "what's the West Ham score?" He then laughed, bless him!

I have no recollection of the half time letters thing. I am obviously way too young... Someone care to explain it?

The year is 1968, Arsenal v Aston villa would be for example letter P and it would have 2-0 by the letter p, that's my theory anyway!
