Pitch invasions

Postby CH » Mon Apr 17, 2017 10:43 pm

Watching sky sport go round the grounds, and seeing the fans swamp the players is so cringe worthy.

I loved the fact that in 07-08, and in our league 2 playoff season, we stayed back and allowed the players and fans to enjoy the moment.

Please please please if the magic happens can we respect the rule, it would be much better to see Jakey running to the east bank for the mother of all celebrations, rather than losing him in a sea of people.

Pitch invasions are just plain rubbish!

We used to have loads of pitch invasions ! as we came up through the leagues first time around trying to get in the football league, I have Nikki Bulls shirt because of one of these events which I'm very pleased with and he was glad to give it, so I have no complaints and in the right situations can be great

I am with CH and Alex.

Being PC or otherwise has nothing to do with it.

I'm on the fence with this one. I remember some very respectful pitch invasions (if that's actually possible). Also, we used to get a fair few streakers. Maybe the ageing demographic of our fan base has put paid to both!

How's about a good old streak for the Braintree game? If my carer can get me undressed quickly enough, I'm sure the stewards couldn't catch my mobility scooter

Pitch invasions are pathetic and thats why I hate Carlisle and Rotherham. Let the players have their moment first then the fans can come over the barriers. Should be done in the style of WW1 and going over the top. I don't want to see idiots standing on the pitch while the game is still in progress

What are people trying to achieve by running on the pitch?
What about player safety?

I remember Carlisle. Disgraceful scenes.

I think players should go around and clap the fans first then the fans should be allowed on the pitch
