Well there's a thing. Re the Kanu 'penalty' incident, I thought that he was tripped but he seemed to indicate (after he was booked) that he was pulled back (or am I misinterpreting his gesture).

That second yellow for Kanu is a shocking decision :!:

Just 2 honest players going in hard for the ball - proper 50/50...

Rubbish refereeing :!:

Yes, it's hard to see that as a foul by Kanu, let alone a booking.

neither of them were worthy of a yellow card.

Must admit i thought Idris was looking for a trip too but still stand by my thoughts that is was a dive and never a pen, sure there was contact from the Dover defender but nothing that would make you fall over  that said, after seeing his 2nd booking i think he was very unlucky, looks a 50/50 and was just trying to hoof the ball.

no i think you are interpreting his gesture correctly. i thought at the time he got a little tug (matron!) and the video seems to back that up.
- albeit a very slight one...

I think Idris has been watching Jermaine McGlashan too much :!:

Penalty was a dive. Foul was never a booking.

Agree that their player definitely has a little hold of Kanu's arm but had it been given then it would have been very soft. Plenty of players haven't been booked for similar.

The 2nd yellow was very harsh and I still maintain that it was a foul on Kanu.

Idris was pulled back when he received his first yellow and made a robust challenge (as did the Dover player) for a 50/50 ball when he got his second yellow.

Shame we didn't get footage of Jake Gallagher's fist pumping in front of the East Bank at the end - I love it when he does that!

Can the second yellow be appealed or is it only straight reds that can be? He will get a one game ban for two yellows.

No appeals for a yellow unless a case of mistaken identity.

For the "Penalty" appeal, Idris may have been pulled back, but went down far too easily for me when you see the replay.

Incident for the second yellow happened almost in front of me and was a pure 50/50 of which the Dover playercame off worse (and also made a lot of it).

The Ref was really slow with the card and I think initially he also considered it a 50/50 challenge. However, I also think he must have discussed the matter over the radiolink with the Linesman and 4th Official, and the Dover player's reaction to the tackle finally swung it.

If the card could be appealed, it might be worth it.

Change of subject... Fairly early on, a ball went to the Dover attacker who looked yards offside. Maybe there was a defender out of sight - anyone in the right place to see?

If it's the one I'm thinking of, then I think that it may well have been a well timed run. The camera footage covers the pass as it was made but not when Miller started his run.
