Pitch renovations have begun

Postby Birdman » Tue May 16, 2017 7:31 pm

After all of the local cup finals played at The Rec over the last couple of weeks or so, work on the pitch begins :- https://mobile.twitter.com/OfficialShot ... 9304505345

Perhaps we should donate the old pitch to Woking? It would be better than what they have (there again, piles of sand in the car park would be better than what they have).

Nor last year. There were 10's of games this season , which I think is brilliant

It is called good management, there is a fair bit of thatch which has to be taken out which is what they are doing now. The original rootzone is left, it is then vertidrained (also breaks up compaction) drill seeded then topdressed with 80 tonne of sand.
Over the last 5 days there was 7 games of which I worked 5 of them and by the last game on the sunday afternoon the pitch was worn out.
The pitch will come back stronger and better for next season.

Has to be premier league standard for the little darlings from Chelsea who we will never hear of again to play on

Which I am happy about :wink:

I see they do three different pitch types;

Which one have we got ?
The economy or the top of the range ?

Tamplin doesn't pay transfer fees just good wages so our 14 are safe.

Tamplin has a wage bill of £22,000 a week to spend. He said so on the radio recently

Followed by 'there's a lot of haters out there'
