Scott Davies

Postby charlie warley » Wed May 17, 2017 6:25 am

Just wondering if there could be a place for him in our team next season, after reading the NLP. It sounds like he may need a little bit of help. He has the experience and he is only 29 so he has a few years left in him, even if it's a part time position.
Thoughts on a postage stamp.?

You never know! He could come back all guns blazing and have a great couple of seasons, he did flourish under the Waddock last time.
Anyway I'm off for a mcmuffin and a couple of latte's

Same as Donnelly, had his time, you can't turn back the clock.

Despite what fans may have to say, if Gary thought there was an opportunity and it enhanced our squad then I'm sure he'd not think twice in signing Scotty back on.

So best left to GW !!

I think GW will be looking to improve the squad for next season and with only 4 or 5 spaces
available I don't think our 3 young loanees will return. Obviously Benyu would be different.

Quite often the same is said about taking a manager back for a second time. #Justsaying

I think it would be different if he'd been plying his trade in League Two the last few seasons, then there might be a case to have him back. However, he's been playing Conference South level and below.

I am aware of that thank you Adam, at the end of the day does a good footballer forget how to be a good footballer again? It would be a case of it would work or it would not.

Much rather see Brett Williams back at the Rec.

In all my years being a Shots fan, I can honestly say that I am totally comfortable with The Waddock in charge, if he thinks he will give him another chance that's up to him.

It's a no brainer for me. Gary has got to bring Scotty back 'home' he's just the man to bring extra flair and experience to the side. With regard to Gary trying to build a very young squad people might say Scotty is getting on a bit (he's six months older than Strakes) but if he's playing well and he's got plenty of experience he would surely be a great asset to the team. Please try and sign him up Gary you'll get maximum brownie points from the fans if you do as he's was a firm favourite at the Rec. Playing in front of over 2,000 vociferous back at the Rec again would surely give him a big lift which he certainly would not have experienced with Oxford Cities sparse crowds. Don't hesitate Gary. !!!!!
