Two good strikers for Sutton, shows what a good FA cup run can do.

Dover will really struggle, their strike force was the most pivotal part of their squad last season now they have lost all their goal threat.

Edit: seen Sutton also signed Braintree's Kenny Davies. They are certainly getting their work done early.

To be honest I wouldn't have wept if we lost our two 'strikers', this really worries me about the expectation next season unless we find a goalscorer. Rendell managed just 13 league goals with only two in our last 18 games! His best years look behind him, and McClure who has never had any good years managed just 9.

You have to remember Rendell missed 12 months football and I think will be back to his best next season.
McClure is more suited to a number 10 role and links up play well. However I do think we need 1 more striker.

Modeste is definitely too good for Billericay. A shame he has joined up with the washed up wana be celebrity twat O'Hara but can understand he fancies a chance to earn a few more quid.

Ayo Obileye has been released by Eastleigh. He trained with us for a week or two around Christmas time, after a falling out with Allen, and there were rumours of a contract offer from us being turned down after Allen left. Wouldn't mind him as back-up to Will and Callum.

Heard that most of Dover's squad were London based and that they trained in London, seems like quite a strange set up so probably not that surprising that Sutton are cherry picking all these Dover players. They lost Raggett, Deverdics and Moore last season and ended up quite well but it seems like a larger scale evacuation this time.

I know in the past Dover's chairman has threatened to withdraw funding if the town didn't start turning out in support of the team. Maybe he's decided it's not feasible to keep ploughing money in.
