Panini Stickers

Postby Aldershot Gas » Wed Nov 08, 2017 9:02 pm

Thought some of you might be interested in this!

I am sure I am not alone (despite being 50) I still have an obsession for collecting Panini Stickers - Especially the World Cup Albums (have completed ones for 1978, 1982, 1986, 1990, 1998. 2006, 2010, 2014).

ITV4 next Tuesday Evening has a programme on the 'History of Panini Stickers' !!!!

"got, got, got, NEED, got, got, got, got, NEED" - anyone remember that in the playground?

Immediately after the Panini programme, eagle-eyed fans can see ex-Shots midfielder Mark Hammond in the football hooligan-themed film Green Street.

capitalising on another's desperation for a sticker, a tactic I'm sure we have all used. Got to remain poker faced in the world of swapsies.

What did you do with the Bristol City stickers as they were first division then which to anyone who's under 35 meant top division?

78/79 and 79/80 refused to stick them in the album - dramatically 2nd tier teams got a shinny and team photo - so rovers were in it (all of 2 stickers!)

First ever World Cup album (1970) stickers had to be “licked”/ “glued” - that album, completed and in good nick now worth over £1k
