It might quite possibly benefit us because other clubs will not be aware of how much we might have available for any new signings. In due course, we should get a good idea of how much it is, because transfer income will need to be reflected in the 2017/18 accounts, which shareholders will see.

And of course very best of luck to Bernard, who has been a major part in our success over the past 18 months.

I’d like to see us use some of the Kanu and Mensah cash to sign a player now. Not all of it and I’m not saying be silly. Obviously a club our size needs all the money we can get but we HAVE to replace Mensah if we still want promotion, IMO

Plus the money from the £500 club. Like to see another 2 players come in. We are awash with money.

Yep agreed. We need a high quality replacement. We should now have enough with the Kanu, Mensah and 500 Club Money.

What about offering the manager a new two year deal?

That might well be the very best use of the money.

Take it you meant open?

The fact that Kanu was undisclosed has benefited us - and Posh

Same applies here

Personally I have no issue at all with the undisclosed thing.

However, I do stick by my ‘we HAVE to replace Mensah’ and I’ll be very disappointed if we don’t sign 1 or 2 permanently to help the promotion push. Bernard is/was a game changer!

Sad to hear news that Bernard has gone. I wish him all the best at BRFC it is a good club with loyal fans a bigger version of our Club really. Think he will do well there it is a step up but he does have the ability no question. Will remember his goals at Tranmere last season in both games and Bromley this and also his personality and he will be missed around the place. But as others have said we have to move on now - we have done well without him this season and we still have a good team that can achieve great things this season

With all this money. We could sign Harry Arter.

Thanks for all your effort Bernard and your great personality on and off the pitch

Have a happy and successful time at Bristol Rovers

Once again Gary and ATFC help a player to improve their career and move on to a higher level, this is why good quality players and young players with potential will want to play for Gary and the Shots.

Haven't been so gutted since we sold Big Jack to Rochdale (and at least he came back). Would have loved to see Bernard enjoy promotion with us - he more than deserves that for all he has brought to the Club, both on and off the pitch. But good luck Bernard, you'll be missed.

Shame to see him go but the model of our club should be to find gems like Mensah and sell them on. The only shame is I felt he could have perhaps moved to a bigger club.
