I see Bernard was warming the bench for Lincoln tonight against Tranmere. He's on a season loan with Lincoln.

Surprised we didn’t hear this from somewhere.
Obviously not working out for him.
He needs to come back home next season. Fully expect he will be released and if Gary is still our manager we will snap him up.

At least he would have had a ringside view of Steve McNulty vs Matt Rhead - that must have been some scrap!

Sadly not given the chance by (my club) Rovers - Totally baffles me why we didn't give him a run in the first team? - still, at least we continue to play a striker up front who has now scored 2 goals in 67 appearances….

exciting times ahead for us.....indeed.....

From what I hear he was given his chances. It was always going to be tough for him. Real shame but sadly for us and Mensah thats football!

Strange one this!
Bernard did get a chance at Rovers, but for some reason hasn’t worked out!
The lad at his age now, just needs to be playing games. Unless there’s a change in management at Rovers & he only gets the odd game on loan, I’m afraid he’ll be a free agent in the summer. It’s all well and good people saying that he was very good at Aldershot, but clubs want to know what he did this term!
Ok for people saying we would have him back, but again it would be down to how much we could afford to pay him!
Let’s not kid ourselves in thinking that it was only for the chance to play in the league that drew him away!

Did he really get a decent enough go at Rovers though?

When I looked at their line-up and scores keeping an interest in him he only ever seemed to be used as a late 2nd half sub. Not much time to prove what you can do just playing the last 5-10 mins of every game!

He wasn't given enough time - most Rovers fans wern't that impressed with his performances (saying he gave the ball away too much and his distribution was poor) - but, most are saying, less than 10 games is not enough time, especially for a club that is sticking with/by a centre forward who games vs goal ratio is less than 3% (2 in 67).

I don't get all the hype surrounding Mensah, decent enough player on his day, but that's about it.
