FA Cup Draw 4th Qualifying Round

Post by 86/87 Glory Year » Thu Oct 04, 2018 2:24 pm

Is the draw this Monday?

Would be good to have a cup run this season ending at Arsenal in the 3rd round.

It usually is unless they’ve suddenly changed it!

Why does it have to end at the Emirates?

Agree though. I’m sure we could do with the prize money for winning each round more than anything!

Away at a Prem team won’t give you the pay day it used too.
They would probably televise, so you would get that money, but the crowd would probably be less than half capacity with most of the Prem teams stars rested. So a bit of a non event other than a fun day out for us.
I just hope we don’t crash and burn in the 4th Qualifier.

Very important to try and reach the 3rd round this year and pick up £115 Grand from the F.A.
Plus any tv ang gate receipts on the way.

Away at Tottenham (Wembley?) would be nice in the 3rd round.

Yeah I’d prefer that to Wembley, save Wembley for a play off final and a return to div 4

A trip to the Library in front of 21000 on a Friday night live on tv? More likely a trip to Wigan in front off 5000 . No thanks i'd rather play at a full noisy Rec these days in a 3rd Round tie.

Its got to be Reading then Home/Away. Seen us win promotion back to the football league, Seen us play Man Utd. Decent wins v West Ham and Portsmouth in cups. 7,500 v Brighton. Exeter, Torquay and Hereford away days. Just Wembley and a competitive fixture v Reading to go I reckon. A home fixture v Reading 7,100 capacity and an 1979 atmosphere(with a hint of danger in the air 8) ). That would be incredible.

The library was Highbury not the Emirates.
