A strange move, if true. I never thought Taylor 'd suit Dover's style.
Can’t imagine their style under Hessenthaler is / will be the same as it was when Kinnear was in charge.
Very similar style. Long ball, especially down the channels. Play for set pieces or runners off the big mans knock ons!
Only difference is the NFL style man for man tactics!

Have you ever watched a Hessenthaler team play? A dirtier version of Kinnear’s footballing philosophy.

Thanks Alex for taking my poor pun seriously.

80fc is referencing the Snowy Tuesday Night home game v Northampton 2012/13, the last game of Danny's suspension ahead of the 4th round FA cup game v Middlesbrough. The game should never have gone ahead as the entire pitch was a good couple of inches deep in snow and it was very difficult to move the ball around we ended up losing the game which didn't help in that ill fated season. The club and Danny done everything possible to get that game played, with Danny even getting involved in shovelling snow off the paths. Not sure what they done to convince the officials to play that night but the officials made the wrong decision in my opinion in allowing that game to go ahead.

With the benefit of hindsight, some see it as the club and/or Danny having the wrong priority in that winning the league match would have had greater long-term effect in a relegation battle than putting up a decent show in the cup match.

The report from the FA cup game v Middlesbrough, interesting stat that Danny at the time managed 1 league goal in 19 but in the FA cup managed 8 goals in 4 games. Perhaps seeing what a financial mess we were at the time the FA cup was our only hope of getting much needed funds fast.

Our then Chairman saw the cup as a get out of jail card that would rescue us from the financial mire we’d got ourselves into. Hylton gets unnecessary flak for his snow clearance exploits, he was merely a pawn in a much higher stakes game.
