‘One or two’ questions that I’d have liked to have asked GW if he was still with us (assuming of course that he’d not gone on his summer hols). Annoyingly (and solely for the purpose of asking said questions), too late now.

As the post suggests it will be the chairman and other board members.

It would be nice to hear from everyone to find out what they bring to the club and what their plans are to take the club forward

Seriously though, the shares they have bought were practically worthless the moment they bought them.

Surely as business people they would want to seek some sort of return on their investment, therefore offer something to the club?

As TopShot wrote. The shares the BOD bought were practically worthless as soon as they bought them.
What real business man would chuck money away like that?
Obviously they must have expected to lose it so why would they worry about losing the clubs money.
Either they have plenty of money to chuck away so why not put more into the club to get it back up the league or they were misled into thinking they could make money out of the club as it is.
Whichever way you look at the whole scenario, the future does not look very good.

I wouldn't say that they have been misled, to become directors they would be privy to accounts and goings on within the club so they would all have had an understanding what they were investing in.

Since January 2013 there have been 14 directors, excluding Tommy and Shahid.

Now there are 8 (excluding Shahid).

That is a huge amount of businessmen all of which I believe are successful, each one of them surely has something to offer the club other than the money they have already put into it.

Yes, i agree that is a lot of people to make decisions and if they are all in business for themselves their time is precious and they may not be able to give much input.

However as i have said below, if they have invested their money they will surely want it to remain the same or grow, people aren't in business to make a loss on their investment.

I suspect if you were to list the people who made money out of investing in a football club it would be fairly short.

Finance is very simple....if you spend more than you earn you have a problem.
When you have no more money to call upon to meet this shortfall (your own or someone else's) then you go bankrupt.

This holds for PLC's, Ltd, partnerships, charities, public sector, governments, individuals.....everyone. Even football clubs.

True, however I don't believe we are talking about multi-millionaires that can afford to lose their investment?

My point isn't really about the money side of things, the directors obviously want to be part of the club, otherwise they would just gift their money without the title that goes with it.

They have been sold the club by Shahid and the marketing team to want to buy into the club and become directors and by the sounds of things we would be in trouble if they hadn't.

I'd just like to know who the board are, what they do, what they are looking to do for the club and what their vision for the club is.

This should help you out with the first two questions, TopShot :- https://www.theshots.co.uk/club/board/
