Whoever we get in as manager I'd finally like to see a proper striker signed as well as an enforcer in midfield, bit of a Steve Watson type.

If there is a Ray Warburton type as well then we are on the right road.

Actually looking forward to seeing anything but the tippy tappy boring football we've had for a while.

Fair point and yes we do want to see an aggressive forward led attacking with a midfield that gives no territory.

So 6 hours 20 mins left to apply then top 5 interviewed tue and wed then top 2 second
interview on fri morning then new boss revealed fri afternoon. Simples.
Trouble with having a Top 5 is it is in the Chairmans view. Everyone on this forum would have a different Top 5. Lets hope he is a very good judge of manger potential for NLS level and future progression quickly like both Torquay and Woking managed last season.

Get the spine of the team right and that should lift the rest of the players.

There’ll be more than just the Chairman doing the interviews.

I worked with Ian Mc Donald a few years back now with a youth team, who incidentally won nearly everything they entered, he'd by then settled down with a proper job and was much more contented. Yes the ideal candidate but wisdom comes with age and I don't think he would relish the aggro that comes with the territory.

Bobby Wilkinson worked wonders at Wealdstone, he would certainly 'do a job'

Steve King will be on the market soon enough, he will do a better job but the Financial risks are well documented

Graham Westley is free.........

In my view, even a free Westley wouldn’t be welcome.

Is Daryl McMahon still looking for his next post after getting Ebbsfleet promoted from the NLS and then onto the NLP play-offs? He could adapt to both fifth or sixth tier, wherever we end up, and would bring some energy to the role as he is still only 35. He would have to be on the shortlist wouldn’t he?

I know we're hard up, but even a no cost Graham Westley would be too expensive for me
