Kinsella off

Post by Anon E Mouse » Tue May 07, 2019 7:48 pm

Just announced it on Twitter.

This not knowing which division we are going to be in is going to wreck next season as well.

Think I might just come back in summer 2020 when it’s all over.

You can’t expect any player to wait around till the Gateshead decision.
The plus point is we don’t care about most of them this season.

100 % correct, he was part of the problem, clear the decks & move on...., onwards and upwards !

Agreed....A player who had the ego of someone who was playing in the top division but was actually an above average league five player.
Performed better with better players around him and like most this season found flagging.
Another one jumping ship when the going got tough.
I’ll only respect the ones that re-sign if offered a contract to rectify the shambles of this season.

I don’t think they’ll be many .......

Although I cannot say I was one of his biggest fans, I will not slate into him for now moving on. We have no manager nor any idea what division we may be in next season, but we should prepare for the worst. ANY player out of contract needs to seek their next step in life as soon as they can, wish them well.

It is increasingly starting to look like the "Barry Smith" scenario, new manager with little time or idea status, one where we will panic an resign last seasons poorer performers as a platform ............ I for one am now very concerned our BOD are labouring so long in getting manager sorted, they MUST have known the GW situ months ago.

Hardly "jumping ship" when he hasn't got an offer for next year from us

I agree with AS and The Good Doctor, we've let Kinsella and the others go, we can't expect them to wait around for us to sort our selves out.
As many have said, there were very few of last seasons squad worth keeping any way, although Kinsella might have been one of the better ones.

The club is “in limbo” at the moment.
Whether you liked Kinsella or not, he has the skill to play at a higher level and I wish him well.

He's a good left back, when he is at left back and not watching on from 30 yards upfield.

Hope he finds a decent club

My guess is that he will end up somewhere like Bromley or Barnet.

We should try and pinch Josh Casey from over the road

Yup.

Was very decent when he played for Shots juniors/youth. Don’t think he was given a chance in men’s football with us.

Energetic, tenacious and tough tackling left back or central midfielder.

Had spells with Salisbury and Bashley then done really well under Dowson and Hampton & Richmond and now Woking. Experienced, and skipper too I believe...

One of the better fullbacks in the South but he has a very, very good full-time job that he wouldn't leave in a million years.
