Totally agree, and may i add, Mr Shields also looks like he can handle himself.

Squad sounds good. We need a goalscorer.
Yes we do, big time!
We need to try our hardest to get Miller

Miller would be perfect in terms of a goal scorer, it is known that he would be interested in coming here and we’d probably be one of the very few places where he’d might actually settle down, but it’s all on whether we can afford him and whether Danny wants him in the first place.

Would be nice, last time he played at our level he scored more than our entire team combined managed last season!

My vague hope/theory is that, having been paid off by both Peterboro and Port Vale in the last year money won’t be the most important thing in his next move and he’ll want to be close to his mum (who lives in Fleet, I think).

I believe that Ricky Miller`s Mum lives in Fleet. Sure I heard that right. Well the lad certainly dosen`t need a sat nav to find his route to goal. However, as alluded to, would cost a pretty penny in wages!

Not necessarily, i'm sure he obviously wants to earn as much as possible but if he keeps getting moved out of clubs like he has recently he'll have to take whats offered

I may be alone, but bring back the good old days when we turned up on a Tuesday and Saturday to support the team, had no idea what was going on behind the scenes, and just let the manager get on with it rather than analyse every detail of what we have/have not, might/might not do. It's all becoming incredibly tedious.
You most certainly are not alone, Banbury. My thoughts entirely. There are still comments about last season and Gary Waddock and where it went wrong. It's gone, It's over, let it go and look forward to next season

It’s not about height though ACA, more about upper body strength and how to use it. Steve McNulty is not the tallest but he has the strength and nous to beat the most physical of strikers. Too often we lost those battles last season. I hope O’Dyer can use his physical attributes effectively - time will tell.

When you're very tall it takes longer for brain waves to reach your feet....true

Can't disagree with any of that, Mr B.

think squads looking good a balance of youth and experience, just need to find a striker with the potential to score 20 plus would be a bonus

We can only assess the squad 'on paper' at the moment as we have nothing else to go on.
Comparing last seasons squad (what we had pre-season) & this seasons squads as listed below, I have no doubt in my mind whatsoever that ON PAPER (ie. ignoring how piss poor last seasons squad turned out to be) the 2018/19 squad looks the better of the two - VERY worrying.

18/19 SQUAD

COLE

KINSELLA
BOZIER
McCOY
BERNARD

LELAN
FOWLER
OSBORNE
SMITH

GALLAGHER
HOWELL
FENELON
McDONNELL
BOOTY
BERKLEY-AGYEPONG
ROWE
WANADIO

HOLMAN
RENDELL
McCLURE

19/20 SQUAD

WALKER

TINKLER
KINSELLA

LYONS-FOSTER
O'DWYER
FINNEY

SANTOS
ROWE
BERKLEY-AGYEPONG
RANCE
CHISLETT

SHIELDS

I don’t agree. Cole and Walker are much of a muchness and I’d take Tinkler over any of the other full backs in the first pool. I also prefer our new centre backs if Fowler stays. Our midfield is a bit lighter in numbers, but I don’t see that it’s significantly weaker. The forward line obviously is weaker, Rendell and Holman both experienced conference goalscorers, but I imagine there’s still a couple to come in that position. We’ll be fine.
