Its easy to judge what's right and what's wrong in his previous actions they were 100% wrong and there is no excuse for what he did.

The tricky bit (and I agree it is very tricky) is whether you apply the principle that everyone deserves a chance or not in this instance. If this was a normal job then it would be easy to say yes give him the chance but being a footballer is partly being held up as a role model so I can fully understand why some might have an issue with him. To be honest my initial reaction back on Saturday when he was first mentioned on here was "No" but I have mellowed a little since then and my more charitable side has won me over.
I have a charitable side too and im sorry I can't get it out of my head the Army/Shots link Community wise. Or is it just me?
100% respect your doubts Shots 1954, as I said in my post it is tricky
Yes I agree it is tricky Richard but should the Club have got themselves in this position in reality?

He looked handy, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuttttttttttttttttt....
I thought he played well and I’d be pleased if we signed him.
I don’t understand what business his personal life has to do with anyone that reads or writes on this board.
I’d rather our club signed decent human beings to be role models to our kids, I’d sooner not fund the wages of a cheating, robbing scumbag. I guess my standards are just higher then yours, that’s all.
A footballer is definitely not a role model for kids, and never should be, your parents are your role models, not a football player who they don't know.

Would you feel the same if he was a convicted pedo?!
But he's not. So totally irrelevant.
OK, I shall only discuss real things. I hope you'll respond to other people who make remarks on supposed things or things that might/might not happen.
The point I have been trying to make is that people deserve a second chance and need rehabilitation. However I may know be accused of being a hypercrite because when it comes to pedos I think they should be locked up and key thrown away or just Killi them. It is a crime worse than murder and they have no place in society

So if Adam Johnson or Graham Rix applied for a job at our club you wouldn’t send them a rejection letter you would have them killed??

That gets into complicated territory. I believe that their is a difference in having sex with a 15 year old. Wrong as it is and molesting a kid of 6 or 8.

I shouldn't have started this. Reason I have such strong feelings is my ex wife was abused when a child and I know what it did to her.
Not a topic I should have brought up on here. I apologize.
