Aldershot's second senior team?

Post by In Sight of Victory Shot » Wed Jul 10, 2019 2:29 pm

This sounds almost like a confession: I have a friend who is an Oxford Utd supporter. He also supports Oxford City and asked me if Aldershot had another senior team...or what team were the next most senior after the Shots. Anyone? Just an idle curiosity thing.

If senior is Step 6 (Combined Counties League Div One) and above, then probably Badshot Lea would be the closest?

Now that Badshot lea play at Wreclesham I think Fleet Town could be marginally closer though probably only by about one mile or so

When I was a kid that was always Farnborough or Woking!

Growing up in Burpham, Woking was a cycle ride away ....

No senior teams that I know of.

There is Aldershot Boys & Girls Youth FC.

Traco Athletic in Weybourne took their name from the Aldershot Traction Company, a former club in the town.

Whilst you are correct that Highmoor Ibis are now known as Reading City, Reading Town did not morph into Highmoor Ibis.

Ibis were formed in 2001 whilst Reading Town were going until 2016, when the folded.
