Match Day Thread - Moneyfields (Hants Cup)

Post by Mick Earls Fan Club » Tue Nov 05, 2019 6:21 pm

Strangely excited about this match tonight - shame it wasn't a home game.

Anyone there who can update us back in NE Hants?

7 of the first team squad are starting this game which is good to see.
Always a believer in having a winning mentality no matter who you play.
Well done Danny in picking a strong team tonight.
Will try and get updates from my daughters twitter !!!!

George Forrest is playing centre half a 19 year old on trial from Crawley.
Ryan Suckling is a left back released by Watford in the summer and now at Basingstoke.

Weren't Moneyfields once Portsmouth Civil Service FC, who we struggled to beat in a Home HSC tie way back when? Think we struggled to win 2-1?

The correct score Tim. I remember that night well, watching the game with you. I also remember the away fans making a racket behind us in the North Stand!

Portsmouth Civil Service, rename to Moneyfields in 1994.
We beat Portsmouth Civil Service in the 3rd round in the 93/94 season.
