Our next away game for me is a near 700-mile round trip and I'd really like to go to Barrow.

But the SWR strike action impairs my own travel plans right now and I am hesitant to book accomodation and rail tickets until the day before when the situation can be clearer on the transport issues.

Anyway, as usual I have prepared a little old travel guide for fans with particular emphasis on pre and post-match entertainment and I've done this with a little Furness.

Can recommend a nice two hour stop over in Ulverston.
One stop before Barrow and much more pleasant.

Weather permitting, the first time visited for the four of us thanks to our travel organiser.

PS What's the beach like? Do they sell Furness rock?
