I see your point, IMO, the day they allowed the mob to gather in London, pull down & desecrate statues...The law was lost.
It was lost during the congas and street parties for VE Day and then a certain individual’s eyesight-testing trip to Durham.
It would seem these things are acceptable, as is "protecting" statues whilst getting pi#*ed and pi*#ing on memorials, it's only unacceptable if you are part of a (presumably lefty) "mob".
Both the left and right are idiots ; all very virtue signalling going on a BLM march, but -as a BME intensive care nurse stated-what were they doing apart from spreading a virus that disproportionately takes black lives. It (the march) is deeply problematical. As the idiot right are born out of the idiot left (and vice versa) out came the white supremist thugs to add to the problem. Black lives and George Floyd will still matter in a years time, when the virus is gone (it will mutate like most serious viruses do; it can't survive when it kills its host (it dies with the host) so it will become less virulent and become another seasonal bug or 'flu. ) That's the time to start marches. Of course nothing has been helped by the confusing advice from the government and the equally hapless experts ,but the stupidity of too many people in the UK would make the soundest of advice groan under the strain.

Where is the super duper world beating track'n'trace app that Johnson promised would be up and running by August?

Oh yeah, now they're saying its not top of the priority list right now.

He has admonished young people taking liberties going to the beach potentially passing on the virus to elderly people.

Yes. It's a bit rich isn't it coming from someone Jo allowed the virus to run through care homes where thousands of elderly people died.

Next week he is going to urge us all to use public transport. Get on the train! Take the bus!

Is this the same public transport he was urging us not to use since March?

As someone said some while ago now IN THIS THREAD - if you employ clowns, you usually get a circus.

No you are wrong . That is what has happened throughout history. George Floyd and black lives will not matter in a year's time. It will be forgetin It has to be dealt with now whilst it is still prevalent.
In a way there needs to be a revolution. Maybe 2020 can do what the 60s tried but failed to do.

For some I would imagine that Corbyn/Momentum might have had a bearing on their vote. It seemed to in many Labour constituencies.

It's the Labour party. If people voted for the Liebour party. No wonder we lost. That explains it.

Just as an aside. In this crisis. The furlough scheme has saved jobs .Who came up with the idea ? The conservative party? No. Boris Johnson. No.
It was actually Jeremy Corbyne

Corbyn without the e. I actually think that he may be because a lot of his suggestions Boris is now actually following.
Because of his past record and bad press he was unelectable but my god he surely couldn't have done a worse job than Johnson?

He went into politics from a farming background.

I think I'm right in saying that his family invented the corbyne harvester.

Remember when they clapped for the heroes in the NHS every Thursday?

https://twitter.com/houseofcommons/stat ... 44226?s=21

These people saved Boris Johnson’s life but aren’t deemed worthy enough to get weekly tests... Maybe a footballer can help out again?

Excuse my ignorance, but why would regular weekly testing need to be implemented?
