Just out of interest how many people on here are still working as the block of flats I live in has hardly anyone going to work.

I'm in - I work in A&E. The wife is a nurse too so it's business as usual for us.

Just to add a little something. I had a really crap day at work yesterday and my head dropped for the first time over the current crisis. Having attended emergency ventilation training where the reality really started to hit, I heard that one of my A&E colleagues had been admitted, testing positive and quite unwell.

It was a relief to be able to relax and disappear into some of the conversation and laughs on here. So my point is, that whilst football isn't important, this website has a small but very important part to play at the moment. Coming on here will serve different purposes for everyone. But for me, yesterday, it was therapeutic. So keep up the comments and threads. It's invaluable.

Shotto, Thank you for all that you and your hard pressed colleagues do. If this board can provide a tiny bit of therapy for you in these difficult times then we all better keep posting. Thank you again.

I am still at work. I work for a manufacturing firm in the construction sector. We've just had an email sent to us to say business as usual. Apparently the construction sector isn't classed as non essential.

I differ from many in that I have huge sympathy for those poor folk packed into underground carriages. These people are not idiots, many of them will be key workers with no other means of getting to work. I can not imagine anyone using the service who does not need to, the underground is a hell hole in the rush hour at the best of times, imagine what it must be like with this threat. They should be proud of their sacrifices not made to feel ashamed. And we don't need to keep seeing pictures of this, we have got the message.

I think it’s been mentioned before that supermarkets are recruiting temporary staff at the moment, not ideal but it’s money coming in ..

Thank you for what you and all keyworkers are doing D.P. I think when this all
comes to an end the Govt should give some kind of remuneration for everyone
having to work.
