Now if you are talking Ford Cortina; well I had a rare 1972 Mk III 2 x Litre GT Coupe in Miami Blue with a black vinyl roof which I bought in 1981! Got 120 MPH out of it down the old A3 from Bramshott to Liphook. Still my favourite car and I don't know why I sold it back in 1983 😢
120mph, OB will be along to give you a lecture on speeding soon.

Indicated 185 in a 911 up the autobahn from Stuttgart to Hamburg was a hoot. Bloody scary, but a hoot.

The French prime minister just said this regarding a future lockdown... Wonder how long before other countries follow suit?

We have to succeed in living with this virus, without returning to the idea of a generalised lockdown.

Our strategy is not changing. We must fight the virus without putting on hold our social, cultural and economic life, the education of our children and our ability to live normally.

But he did not announce any major new restrictions, urging people instead to respect social distancing guidelines and use face masks.

And the quarantine period for people with the virus would be shortened to just seven days from 14, to better match “the period when there is a real risk of contagion,” Castex said.

We elimiminatèd Smallpox, but everything out there that has afflicted the human condition since the dawn of mankind is still there with us. We have coped with it, not without casualties, but we have coped with it. Quite a few will not be able to see the wood from the trees on this at the moment but, although it will take time, we will get there.

I'm no apologist for the Government and they've made plenty of mistakes, but I've also had to deal with many large organisations who've proven to be utterly incompetent managing their business during the pandemic.
They asked Matt Hancock on the news why it’s safe to go to the pub/work and he said it’s because they all have the restrictions in place. No doubt the majority do but is anyone actually policing it and checking bar an obligatory form? Plenty of workspaces are too small to be Covid-secure.

Anyone who thinks people safe distance in pubs, lives in a different world than me.

It's the same as when they say somewhere is "Covid secure".....
