End of the road for Macc?

Post by Birdman » Wed Sep 09, 2020 2:24 pm

This is from a Macc supporter on thefootballforum earlier today :-

“We have been given seven days to satisfy the High Court that we have the proof of funds to pay our £780k debts. £190k owed to HMRC and the rest to other creditors including Sol Campbell.

Apparently a Robert Benwell is in talks to buy the club and has promised to pay any outstanding debts on completion of the deal, whilst Amar Alkadhi has said he'll pay the HMRC debt even if the deal isnt concluded. High Court not satisfied that this is actually close to happening so refused our request for 28 days and set it at 7.

I'd say we're now pretty much done.“

I do hope not. Good luck Macc! Sol Campbell, there’s a surprise.

100% agree, he would have signed that contract in good faith.

Stupid appointment as he wouldn’t have been cheap and he obviously needs the money

Stupid comment.

That attitude no employer in the world would pay staff.

Sol Campbell maybe not a great manager, maybe needs to keep earning, but you employ somebody on an agreed contract it should be honored.

If Macc go bust it certainly will not be Sol Campbells fault. So think the flippant comment made still in the silly camp !!
