Brentford B Highlights

Post by Weybourne Shot » Sun Oct 11, 2020 10:33 pm

Match highlights from yesterdays friendly are on the Bees Twitter site https://twitter.com/BrentfordFC?s=09
Presumably set up by Brentford FC?
Different South Stand camera footage plus other cameras that were sited behind the goals. Mcormack seemed to slip just before taking his penalty.

Couple of cracking saves there by young Ryan Hall.

Very good coverage, a hundred times better than ours, if only we could.......

The number 15 trialist for Brentford looked a good player and one I think we could look at for a loan!

Bettamer looked sharper in this game which is good!

Ross needs some time to get fit but was unlucky slipping when taking the penalty!

Was also impressed with Ryan Hall in goal some good saves!

No 15 was Lachlan Brook, who has just joined Brentford from Adelaide United.
Don't think he would be within our price range somehow!

Any ideas on who our 3 x trialists were, please?

* Cue the furore that usually follows anyone asking this and/or me getting the blame for alerting the Real Madrid scout to players' availability! Brian Bloomfield is Barcelona's scout :)

The 2 centre backs looked very young as did the right back i would guess they were acadamy lads.

An almost different team for the 2nd half :-

Aldershot Town XI: 1 M Walker (G/K) (Hall 45′), 2 G Fowler (Trialist A 45′), 4 J Sendles-White (C) (Trialist B 45′), 6 K Lyons-Foster (Trialist C 45′), 15 S Ogie (Colombie 45′), 7 J Rowe, 8 J Rees (Edser 45′), 12 A Whittingham, 3 C Tanner, (Wylie 45′) 10 H Panayiotou (McCormack 45′), 9 M Bettamer (Nouble 45′)

I know we did, but why name youth players as trialists?

McCormack replaced Panayiotou after our third goal, Panayiotou gave away the penalty for Brentford.

Alfie Saunders, youth team player, wore number 20.

Was hoping to see some minutes from Lachlan Brook but believe the kid only arrived on the Monday and watched from the stands. 😕
From my extensive FM experience  Bettamer looked less isolated in the left, maybe inverted wingers could provide better support up front.
Looking forward to seeing what Dover deliver in terms of streaming coverage tomorrow.
