The new club (Macclesfield FC) is “hoping” to join the North West Counties League NEXT season.

Macclesfield chased promotion with money they didn't have. And then tried to spend there way out of trouble. And that could have been us !
Feel sorry for their supporters, but we of all Clubs, should heed their lessons.

Maybe a whoosh for me, but 21st would still be a relegation place.

My point was that if we finished 21st, we'd probably clutch at straws and hope that one of the clubs above us had been naughty and (as a consequence) would be relegated, thus earning us a reprieve.

So just business as usual then - not affected by there only being 23 teams in the league (at the time of writing) and 3 relegation spots.
