Mike Fondop
In his pre-Solihull interview, Danny says that Fondop has left because we can’t afford to extend his contract.

Said it before, I’ll say it again. Those three won’t play for us again.Anon E Mouse wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 4:43 pmYep. Tough times. Gonna miss him.

What prompts that view Turnkey? I don't have any Intel at all, but anticipate seeing them all in action.Turnkey wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 5:46 pmSaid it before, I’ll say it again. Those three won’t play for us again.Anon E Mouse wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 4:43 pmYep. Tough times. Gonna miss him.

Re: Mike Fondop
Danny doesn't seem to agree with you Turnkey, he has just said that all three are close to coming back and that he expects them to all be back about the same time. He said it will be like having 3 brand new playersTurnkey wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 5:46 pmSaid it before, I’ll say it again. He’s been saying that for weeks though Richard. I saw McCormack a couple of weeks ago, he’s still fatter than I am. Tanner said when he got his knock it wasn’t serious and he wouldn’t be out for long, here we are 4 months later. Kins injury was always going to be season long, he may play again but it’ll be too soon and he’ll be crocked again.

Re: Mike Fondop
I tend to agree with Turnkey on this. The signing of McCormack was always going to be a gamble and his lack of game time only reflects his lack of desire to get fit. Shambles to sign someone like that. Kinsella suffered a bad injury and was set back with the operation due to covid. With little to play for, not worth rushing him back.
As for Tanner, anyones guess is as good as mine. Certainly not buying into anything Danny says, although as always, happy to be proved wrong.

Re: Mike Fondop
To be fair he actually said end of Jan, beginning of Feb. It was obviously more serious than thought and if hes on the same timeline as McComack we are probably looking at March or April.Surrey_Shot wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 8:26 pmWhen Tanner was on ShotsTV as a guest before Xmas he said be he'd be back around Feb, so I hopefully that's still on course and accurate

Re: Mike Fondop
All three are back in training, but I don't think Kins or Tanner will be rushed back to the match day squad given the injuries and length of rehab involved.
McCormack is closer but still needs to do a lot of fitness work before he'll be ready for 60+ minutes. Having him and Miller in the squad at the same time may be a luxury we can't afford.
Fondop looked ok for us, very similar player to Nouble, and I can understand why he's not been offered an extended deal.
