Probably inspired by the Brexit endless legal challenges ; Donald Trump's legal challenges and generally the 21st century craze of not accepting any democratic vote if it doesn't tie in with what you wanted.Richard Petty wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 5:48 pmCant see how Dorking can take legal action against the validity of the vote if the vote is to stop their season, its a democratic vote and is the only way it can be decided. And his idea of letting clubs that want to carry on playing to break away from the rest of the league while others stop is crazy, how on earth could you work out the league positions if you did that.

To be fair, when MPs stand up in the Commons and freely admit they’re planning to ‘break international law in a very specific and limited way’, what do you expect?Fuggletim wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 6:27 amNever a truer word Hepcat!hepcat wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 2:16 pmProbably inspired by the Brexit endless legal challenges ; Donald Trump's legal challenges and generally the 21st century craze of not accepting any democratic vote if it doesn't tie in with what you wanted.Richard Petty wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 5:48 pmCant see how Dorking can take legal action against the validity of the vote if the vote is to stop their season, its a democratic vote and is the only way it can be decided. Anyway, back to the football. This is all a bit strange and with there likely to be no relegation now, I think those who were saying we’ll see youth teams playing a lot as the season stutters to a stop.

I'm expecting Dorking to do same as GCFC in terms of demanding promotion.
The 7 teams voting to cease season in National will prove even more of a conundrum.

So we use an example of an outside event where loads of people were cuddling and shaking hands as proof of spread at outdoor events!Old Bob wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 10:57 pmReally?

Its about management of risk, there will always been some spread but outside its so low risk!

Yes they probably will but I struggle to see how they can win, the NL have managed this to their rules that everyone is signed up to! However rules ain’t rules sometimesSteveyAsp wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 12:57 pmI’m expecting them all to join in…York, Chorley etc etc etcDr Jim Royle wrote:I'm expecting Dorking to do same as GCFC in terms of demanding promotion.

Not sure how you can demand promotion after 18 games out of a 40/42 game season.
Neither side have technically gained enough points to be safe from relegation in a regular season.

If they gave one NLS promotion spot to replace, say, Dover it would not be Dorking but St Albans to be promoted on ppg... on ppg Sutton would currently be top of NLP and Notts County second
Shows how ridiculous it would be settling for ppg at this stage of a crazy season; also shows how EFL will have a good case to refuse relegation if lots of teams play Academy boys

Re: NL N&S, ‘null and void’?
Even if some clubs currently at the bottom of the table did play weakened teams to complete the season (which I think is unlikely) that would not concern the EFL as any teams relegated from EFL Two would be playing in our league next season not this season.comeonshots wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 2:35 pmIf they gave one NLS promotion spot to replace, say, Dover it would not be Dorking but St Albans to be promoted on ppg... on ppg Sutton would currently be top of NLP and Notts County second

Kings Lynn have announced that Tuesday nights game against Barnet and next Saturday's game against Weymouth will take place but are unable to confirm that they will play anymore games after that.

Re: NL N&S, ‘null and void’?
Surely after last seasons shambles the league authorities must've the started the season with some rules and an agreement between the clubs as to what happens if the season has to stop? They wouldn't be that stupid to leave themselves open to legal challenges again - would they?
