Odd comment o well.
I'm not the one that called the game over while it was still going on.
You are probably in a team of 2 if you think Aldershot always comfortably see games out.
Anyway I'm enjoying the comfortable win so as you were.
So , as you were. or lets see if you do as your told![]()

Well done, all , enjoyed my ( interrupted) viewing, apparently we saw the game out well. As others have said, please win the next match, at least to raise a frisson of excitement. We have nothing to lose in just going for it.

I believe that today`s win was the fourth double achieved this season- Altrincham, Woking, Notts County Dagenham.. pretty decent i`d say.
Just think back in pre play off days we`d have had to settle for dead rubber games and use them for loan players or getting players fitness back.
Just out of interest whose idea was it to introduce play offs in the first place?? Must have been mooted in 1986- I just wonder why change came about to introduce them

I reckon somewhere in the Black Country in around June 1987 that question was asked quite a lot by some blokes in a violent angry stateshotsboy66 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 7:03 pmI believe that today`s win was the fourth double achieved this season- Altrincham, Woking, Notts County Dagenham.. pretty decent i`d say.

Excellent win and performance against a pretty poor Dagenham team. I thought we played some nice football and were rewarded for starting the game with a much better intensity than we have in some of our other games recently.
Particularly pleasing to do the double over Dagenham after the defeats to them last season! I don't want to get carried away, we still need to work on the inconsistency. But that was a good performance and a job well done.
I thought the Dagenham stream and commentary were good, though it shows how lucky we are to have replays and different camera angles. I think I rewinded my stream three or four times to check the penalty!

Put a good dent into our goal difference.
Also has helped Sutton a little bit, they never played Dover whilst Torquay have had their win wiped out. And Notts County and Eastleigh benefitted from losing unlike the teams around around them.

Cannot recall a season when we have more points away from home than at home (24 v 20) although we have currently played 2 more games on the road.
Would the home crowd have made any difference to home performances I wonder ?

Wasn’t too long ago.
Barry Smith 15/16 - 25 points at home, 31 points away.
One of the worst home records in the league that season yet had almost playoff worthy away form that was tarnished really by two truly horrific results vs Chester and Altrincham.
And it’s 21 away points now Dover has been expunged.

Really? If that’s the case, why was he often referred to as Captain Calamity?
