As Dickens fans will know most of his novels were originally serialised in his weekly magazine, Household Words. However, A Tale of Two Cities was serialised further afield in two regional newspapers.............it was the Bicester Times and the Worcester Times

Apparently when you drink a pint of beer it shortens your life by about 9 mins.

I said to the lady in B&Q, “what’s best for greasy ovens?”
She said “ammonia cleaner”
I said “sorry, I thought you worked here”

My partner is going to see a Beatles tribute act on the Isle of Wight. She's got a ticket to Ryde.
And later on we're off to a Gordon Lightfoot tribute act. We particularly like Sandown.

What's worrying is that I had to think about that for a whileAnon E Mouse wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 9:53 am Which Icelandic Singer was named after a city in England ?

The old saying goes "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you will never please all the people all the time." In fact sometimes it seems impossible to even please some of the people any of the time

In South London they sell sausages made out of Pandas. I know cos I was in a queue at a butcher's and heard a lady ask for two.
