I'm going for an unlucky but hard-fought 1-2.

Chimp Jr isn't happy with the midfield situation and is expecting 0-4.

I'm with chimp jnr, 0-4. We've lost our two best players from last year and our best signing is suspended. Hope we're both very wrong.

I fear another opening day loss 0-1. Our die hard fan base is now around 1100 to 1400 (at least it was last season) so it was that plus the away support to work out our gate. Opening day optimism in the sun , I reckon it will be 1600 shots plus about 150 Moors so 1750 witnesses for our first game.
Of course, the fantasy game would be a near 2000 gate, a storming 5-0 statement win and onwards and upwards !!

A lot probably depends on what announcements are made at 2pm on Saturday - hoping for at least one, maybe two midfielders.

We’ve had to play teams among the promotion favourites first up over the last few years (Fylde, Hartlepool, Chesterfield) and given them all a decent game before ultimately succumbing so I’m going for Shots 1 Moors 2 - Effiong - 1878 (92 away).

Is it confirmed we’re announcing new signings tomorrow at 2? If so why not announce them today improve the optimism of the fans. Rly think the way we announce players before games is silly.

There is no guarantee of further signings just that in the past we have kept them secret up until just before ko to stop our oppo gaining advantage. I suspect we will go with what we have this weekend but hopefully with the extra Harris money spend wisely the week after, it the money isn't used to help pay off a chunk of debt instead that is.

I'm going for a 3-1 Win and a surprise.
