Danny Cowley, now there is a name I would have liked managing The Shots.

Did we miss him?

We could never afford him!! Anyway, we have Danny for another couple of seasons so the status quo remains unchanged!

Indeed we might not have been able to and yes Status Quo remains!

I've seen this question mooted a few times, but as far as I can tell Danny Cowley was never available at a time when we were looking for a manager. The only possible overlap was back in 2015, when we appointed Barry Smith and he was appointed manager of Braintree. However, Braintree were part-time and he was still working as a PE teacher during his time there.

Congratulations to Tim Sills, whose Hamworthy United beat US Portsmouth 3-1 to win the Wessex League Cup.

Luke Williams kept a clean sheet as Hartley Wintney beat Folland Sports 4-0 to win the Hampshire Invitational Cup. Neither Joe Gater nor Tyron Smith were in the winners' matchday squad.

In the Hartlepool Mail Hartlepool manager Dave Challinor is lamenting the fact that the "howler" by Brad James from Rob Milsom's free kick gave Sutton United their first half lead.

Ex Shots trialist Ben Harrison (PSF Shots V QPR 1/7/2016) is departing Kingstonian for personal reasons. Ben was the player who unfortunately suffered a broken leg (right in front of us in the North Stand) shortly after coming on in the second half after a heavy challenge by QPR's Nedum Onuoha. Ben was one of our eleven half time changes. Three of the other players we brought on were Craig Ross, Max Kretzschmar and Angelo Balanta.
