Aldershot & Camberley Sunday District League Matchday 2…

Aldershot Supporters Trust FC 8-2 AFC Farnham Vets XI

The boys followed up last weeks win this morning, with a convincing victory against AFC Farnham Vets XI, which takes us top of the table with two wins from two games.

Despite having six players unavailable for this one, we were fortunate enough to welcome four new players to the starting line up, and started the game very strongly, going in 4-1 to the good at half time.

Second half was very much of the same, with the team keeping a high tempo, creating plenty of chances whilst remaining solid defensively and eventually running out 8-2 winners!

Special mention goes to our goalscorers today with debutants Ben Prior and Dan Cranstone both getting on the scoresheet, with one bagging a hat-trick, and the other scoring two respectively. Joe Rapley and Isaac Knox both added to their tallies, and club captain Dan Taylor scored his first goal of the campaign.

A very good day for all concerned… Three more points on the board, a home win, and eight goals scored.

After the game, we caught up with a delighted Lee Callan

* Callan’s Comments: “ I’m absolutely delighted with both the performance and the result today. This was a big game for us, we were playing against a team that’s had a big turnover of players, as well as coming off a good win last week, and we knew we had to start better then we did last week, and the boys certainly did that today. Despite leading 4-1 at half time, I wanted to touch on some parts of the game that we wanted to tweak in the second half, and the boys listened and carried it out impeccably. We could of scored double figures today with the chances we created, but once again credit to everyone involved because considering all the changes and injuries we’ve had, to a man they’ve all been superb.”

We now look ahead to next weeks’s game at home to UK Careers First, with the aim of building on our 100% winning start to the season.

Goalscorers today:

Ben Prior x3
Dan Cranstone x2
Joe Rapley x1
Isaac Knox x1
Dan Taylor x1

Unfortunately we don’t have the tech, budget and personnel to record our games.

We are currently looking for a photographer for our games if anyone on here would be of assistance?

Aldershot & Camberley Sunday District League Matchday 3…

Aldershot Supporters Trust FC 12-2 UK Careers FC

The boys maintained our 100% winning start to the season, as we made it three wins from three this morning against UK Careers FC, which sees us hold our place at the top of the league.

Despite going a goal down early on to a well placed free kick, we showed excellent character, responding in great fashion by taking control of the game, and ending the half strongly leading 6-1 at half time.

Second half we continued to push forward and attack, creating lots of changes, but being clinical and keeping our shape, eventually running out 12-2 winners!

Special mention goes to our goalscorers today with Isaac Knox and Dan Cranstone both getting four goals each, Liam Larby opening his account for the club bagging two, along with Joe Rapley and Dan Taylor who both added to their tallies.

An excellent day for all concerned… Three more points on the board, another home win, and twelve goals scored.

After the game, we caught up with manager Lee Callan

* Callan’s Comments: “ I’m really pleased with the boys today. Despite conceding early on, we showed character and didn’t let our heads drop. The manner in which we responded pleased me, equalising shortly after going a goal down, taking control of the game and going for more goals. I was extremely impressed with our overall performance against a decent side. We defended resolutely, kept our shape well and were brilliant going forward. Whilst I’m delighted with the result, it was the performance today that impressed me the most. That’s the standard we’ve set, and it’s now up to us to emulate that once again next week.

We now look ahead to next weeks’s game away to Camberley United Reserves with the aim of building on our 100% winning start to the season.

Goalscorers today:

Isaac Knox x4
Dan Cranstone x4
Liam Larby x2
Joe Rapley x1

Aldershot & Camberley Sunday District League Matchday 4…

Camberley United Reserves 0-5 Aldershot Supporters Trust FC

The boys maintained our 100% winning start to the season, as we made it four wins from four this morning against Camberley United Reserves, which sees us keep our first clean sheet of the season and hold our place at the top of the league!

The opening stages of the game started off quite slowly, with neither team testing the goalkeeper, but we upped the ante midway through the first half, and took the lead courtesy of a neat finish from Isaac Knox

Despite an uneventful first half, we went in at the break 2-0 to the good, via Dan Cranstone, as he doubled our lead from a well worked set piece.

Second half saw a much more controlled and disciplined performance from everybody, as we sought control of the game, by creating more chances and maximising our overall management of the game, eventually running out convincing winners.

Special mention goes to our goalscorers today with Rich Cocking scoring his first two goals for the Club, along with Isaac Knox and Dan Cranstone both adding to their tallies.

A good day for all concerned… Three more points on the board, another away win, five goals scored and a clean sheet.

After the game, we caught up with manager Lee Callan

* Callan’s Comments: “I’m pleased with the win and clean sheet today, but it certainly wasn't our best performance. Despite leading 2-0 at half time, I tweaked a few things and made a change to the team, and the boys responded well to what myself and Keith said to them at half time, and went on to win the game 5-0! Sometimes it's just all about winning, you can't always win pretty and be free flowing throughout, and the boys showed that today. Despite not being at our best, we’ve come away from the game with our first clean sheet of the season and a 5-0 away win, so overall I’m pleased, but we know what we’ve got to do better moving forward.

We now look ahead to next weeks’s game at home to AFC Raiders, with the aim of building on our 100% winning start to the season.

Goalscorers today:

Richard Cocking x2
Dan Cranstone x2
Isaac Knox x1

Aldershot & Camberley Sunday District League Matchday 5…

Aldershot Supporters Trust FC 5-2 AFC Raiders

The boys maintained our 100% winning start to the season, as we made it five wins from five yesterday morning against AFC Raiders, who were also unbeaten prior to yesterday’s game, which now sees us go six points clear at the top of the league!

We dominated the opening stages of the game, coming out of the blocks with attacking intent and created chance after chance, but were denied via some good saves by the opposition goalkeeper. However, we soon made the breakthrough midway through the first half courtesy of a neat finish from Dan Cranstone.

We continued to press and attack AFC Raiders in what was a dominant first half display and went in at the break 2-0 to the good, once again via Dan Cranstone, who was there to tap in the resulting rebound of a penalty save.

Second half saw us remain in control for large periods of the half, as we continued to create changes, scoring three more goals. AFC Raiders scored two goals late on to reduce the deficit, however we eventually ran out clear and deserved winners.

Special mention goes to our goalscorers today with Dan Cranstone bagging another hat-trick for the Club, along with Joe Rapley and James Whitehouse, who both added to their tallies.

An excellent day for all concerned… Three more points on the board, another home win, and five more goals scored!

After the game, we caught up with manager Lee Callan

* Callan’s Comments: “I’m delighted with today’s performance and result. This was a top of the table clash against a well organised AFC Raiders side, so we had to be at it from the off and we certainly were. From start to finish today, we dominated in all areas and I can’t praise the boys enough for their application to the game. They listened to what we had to say and carried out our game plan. On another day, we could have scored double figures. The only disappointment was conceding the two goals, which were sloppy from our point of view, as we’ve switched off from two set pieces, however overall I’ve got nothing but praise for everyone today, to a man they were excellent and thoroughly deserved the win.

We now look ahead to next weeks game at home to Aldershot Rangers, with the aim of building on our 100% winning start to the season.

Goalscorers today:

Dan Cranstone x3

Aldershot & Camberley Sunday District League Matchday 6…

Aldershot Supporters Trust FC 12-0 Aldershot Rangers

The boys maintained our 100% winning start to the season, as we made it six wins from six this morning against Aldershot Rangers, who despite being bottom of the league, came here to have a go, playing the game in excellent spirit throughout.

We started the game very strongly, playing a high tempo, quick passing game, taking the match to our opponents, by playing good football, creating plenty of chances and scoring some well worked goals to lead 5-0 going into the HT break.

Second half saw us remain in control throughout as we continued to play at a quick tempo and create changes, scoring five more goals, keeping that all important clean sheet, our second of the season and winning the game comfortable 12-0 winners.

Special mention goes to our goalscorers today with James Whitehouse bagging six, Dan Cranstone grabbing another four to add to his tally, and to Jack Dyke, who scored his first goal for the Club today.

An excellent day for all concerned… Three more points on the board, another home win, twelve goals scored and a clean sheet to top it all off!

After the game, we caught up with manager Lee Callan…

* Callan’s Comments: “I’m really pleased with both the performance and result today. We played an Aldershot Rangers side, who came here with nothing to lose and potentially lots to gain, so it was important for us to approach the game in the right manner and we certainly did that this morning. We started the match positively and went in at half-time winning 5-0. In the second half, we made some changes, and the boys that came on did brilliantly to keep up our tempo and carry on the game plan. We were ruthless today in front of goal, and our wide players played such a big part with their crossing and assists, which was really nice to see, as we’ve worked a lot on that in recent weeks. The 12-0 result was great, but the performance to go with it was superb! We were great to watch today and never stopped from the first whistle to the last and as manager, I couldn’t be any prouder of them today. To a man they were all outstanding!

We now look ahead to next weeks game at home to FYFC Old Boys, with the aim of building on our 100% winning start to the season.
