Is this actually true?

It would imply that the club spent the money last season. I thought it was 'ring fenced'...

Isnt that what the gov grant and then gove backed loan was for, ie to make up for lost gate revenue??

I’ll give him his first season - it was a gamble and sometimes they do come off. The lack of progress last year in unusual circumstances some could make an argument for but the two-year contract and start to this season… No.
