Not worked out for him, has it? He's spent the last couple of months sat on the bench on loan at Northampton. I would expect to see him playing for a L2 or NLP team next season.fredandballou wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 11:07 amPeterborough United have placed Idris Kanu on the transfer list.

Although this is a link to a Stevenage story I’m posting it as it says that Laurie Walker has been put on their transfer list. Am I being a tad hopeful?

Now that would be a decent signing. As to whether it's doable, I guess it depends on Stevenage. If they want a transfer fee for him, I can't see it happening. If a) they simply want him off the wage bill and b) both Walker and Stevenage were happy for his contract to simply be cancelled, that would be altogether different.

The fact that Laurie has been put on the transfer list, rather than released, indicates that Satanage want to recover some of the money they paid for him. Sadly that probably rules out a return, real shame as the lad seemed to love his time here.ACA wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 5:27 pmNow that would be a decent signing. ‘Undisclosed fee’ when he joined Stevenage. Got to be worth an ask anyway.chimpster99 wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 5:51 pmThe fact that Laurie has been put on the transfer list, rather than released, indicates that Satanage want to recover some of the money they paid for him. It is sad that players like Mensah, Kanu and Benyu haven't fulfilled their potential. They haven't really achieved on their own what they did together as a trio.

It would be good if we used the cash our new sponsor is pumping into the club to fund Laurie Walker's transfer fee.redandbluescb wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 3:10 pmShame we dont pay transfer fees Walker would be a great signing.

Perhaps with another club lined up (us) Laurie can agree to have his contract terminated. Hopefully that is what Stevenage are alluding to by making him available.Birdman wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 6:01 pm‘Undisclosed fee’ when he joined Stevenage.
